100% New Zealand Ham is the only Ham made in New Zealand that is guaranteed to be made ONLY from New Zealand Pork.

In 2007 800,000kgs of pork was imported into New Zealand from Canada, USA, Australia, Scandinavia, and China. 95% of this product was used to make Ham and Bacon products that are sold throughout New Zealand.

Many of these bacons and hams have “Made in New Zealand” proudly on their packaging. Unfortunately, there is a very high likelihood that this Ham or Bacon is made in New Zealand from imported product! Unfortunately in New Zealand there is no rule to say where Ham or Bacon comes from.
