To serve

• When serving a delicious 100% New Zealand Ham, manuka smoked, which has been prepared with a glistening glaze and surrounded by any number of favourite condiments then everyone who's a 'ham fan' will want at least two servings!
• The amount served also depends on thickness of a slice - a serving is usually 2-3 slices.  Slicing thinly gives a lighter fresher mouth feel - so make sure you have a sharp knife.
• For sliced ham the ideal amount to allow is 150g to 200g per person of boned sliced meat.
• With a 9kg bone-in ham (assuming bone percentage of 10-15%) the ham should easily cater for 30 to 40 people.
• Butchers generally recommend a bone-in half ham (4.5kg) cooked on the bone (COB) as sufficient for 20 people.
