Method

  1. Mix the breadcrumbs and milk together in a small bowl.
  2. Place the Trim Pork mince, onion, apple, herbs, seasoning and egg together in a large bowl. Add the milk mixture and mix well.
  3. Brush each sheet of pastry with beaten egg. Cut into 3 cm slices.
  4. Place on floured baking tray. Brush with beaten egg.
  5. Cook in preheated oven at 210°C for 15 - 20 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 slice fresh white bread, crust removed
  • 2 tablespoons low fat milk
  • 500 g 100% New Zealand Trim pork mince
  • 1/2 onion, peeled and grated
  • 1 apple, peeled and grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon mixed herbs or sage
  • freshly ground pepper, to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 egg beaten for glaze
  • 5 sheets ready rolled filo pastry
