Always look for 100% New Zealand Fresh Pork

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 160°C.
  2. Heat a little oil in a fry pan, add the New Zealand pork steaks and brown on both sides.
  3. Place in a casserole dish.
  4. Add the onions, kumara, chicken stock and watercress to the pan and cook 2-3 minutes.
  5. Pour the chicken stock mixture over the pork, cover.
  6. Place in preheated oven and cook 45-60 minutes until the pork is cooked.
  7. Thicken with a cornflour and water paste. Optional.

Ingredients

  • 4 New Zealand Pork leg steaks
  • Olive Oil
  • 2 onions, peeled and cut into wedges
  • 2 kumaras, peeled and sliced
  • 1 x 500 ml packet reduced salt chicken stock
  • 1/2 cup chopped watercress
