These pork dumplings can be fried or steamed.

Method

  1. Stir fry the mince and onion in the oil in a fry pan or wok until pork browned.
  2. Stir in the grated carrot and sweet chilli sauce for two minutes.
  3. Add the cabbage and stir fry the mix for a further two minutes.
  4. Lay out the wrappers on a board and dampen edges with water.
  5. Place 1 teaspoon of pork mix in centre, fold in half and crimp edges together using thumb and forefinger.
  6. Steam over boiling water in a steamer. Alternatively fry one side, turn and pour over ½ cup boiling water and cook until water evaporated.
  7. Serve with sweet chilli sauce.

To serve

Altermative idea - replace the sweet chilli sauce with 2 tablespoons reduced salt soy sauce, 2 tablespoons vinegar and 2 chopped dried chillies.  After cooking serve with mix of reduced salt soy sauce and vinegar.

  • 500g Trim Pork Mince
  • 1 medium onion, peeled and finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 carrot grated
  • 1/4 cup sweet chilli sauce
  • 3 leaves - 1/2 cup finely chopped cabbage
  • 1 pkt (50) pork dumpling wrappers
