Method

  1. Place the pork in a bowl and stir in the sauces and sesame oil.
  2. Stir in the egg.
  3. Mix the crumbed crackers and cornflour together and spread on a plate.
  4. Heat the oil in a wok or fry pan until hot.
  5. Coat the pork in the crumb mixture and fry the pork until golden brown.
  6. Remove with a slotted spoon and serve as finger food with toothpicks and a dipping sauce.

Terrific Tips

  • Dipping sauces: sweet chilli or plum
  • Coleslaw and steamed rice to make a meal of it.

Ingredients

  • 500 g 100% New Zealand Scotch or Fillet Pork Steaks, cut into cubes
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 6 cream crackers, crushed and crumbed
  • 2 tablespoons cornflour
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
