Method

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Mix well to coat the ribs.
  2. Cover with cling film and leave to marinate 2 hours or overnight in refrigerator.
  3. Pre-heat oven to 180ºC.
  4. Place ribs on greased baking tray. Bake for 15 minutes, then increase to 210ºC for 6 minutes to crispen ribs.
  5. Transfer ribs to warmed serving dishes or bowls.
  6. Serve sprinkled with sesame seeds.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg pork spareribs, cut into 5 cm lengths
  • 2 shallots, finely chopped
  • 4 spring onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 50 g fresh ginger, peeled and grated
  • 1 fresh red chilli, seeded and chopped
  • 50 ml Sake, Japanese Rice Wine
  • 1 tablespoon soya sauce
  • 100 ml olive oil
  • 1 tablespoons honey
