Build your own classic New Zealand pork burger with all your favourite fillings.

600g New Zealand pork mince

4 large burger buns

Small bunch parsley, chopped

1/2 tsp salt and pepper

1 spring onion, finely chopped

1 egg

Filling

Tomatoes

Sliced cheese

Sliced lettuce, shredded or coleslaw

Pickles

Sauce of choice

Mix burger meat ingredients

In a large bowl, mix together all of the burger meat ingredients. Divide into four large burger patties and set aside.

Cook the burgers

Heat a little oil in a fry pan before adding the burger patties. Cook each burger for 5 minutes either side.

Set oven to 180°C

Meanwhile, toast the burger buns in the oven (set to 180°C or on grill) for 5 minutes.

Assemble

To assemble each burger, place the burger patty down first, then top with your favourite fillings and sauces.
