New Zealand Pork Koftas

These pork koftas are a tasty option to mix up your midweek meals. Only 25 minutes from pan to table, make dinner easy tonight!

500g New Zealand pork mince

1 Tbsp olive oil

1 onion, finely diced

1 garlic clove, crushed

½ tsp ground cumin

½ tsp allspice

1 tsp ground coriander

1 Tbsp fresh mint, finely chopped

Kebab skewers, soaked in water

Heat oil

In a fry pan, heat oil over medium heat. Once hot, sauté onion, garlic and spices for 3-4 minutes.

Cool mixture

Remove from the pan and cool mixture for 5 minutes.

Combine pork

In a bowl, add the pork mince, mint and onion mixture. Combine – mixing thoroughly – using your hands or alarge spoon.

Shape mixture into logs

Divide the mixture into 12 small logs (or 6 large ones). Pierce each Kofta with a pre-soaked kebab skewer.

Cook the koftas

Cook the koftas on the barbeque, in a fry pan or in the oven (at 190℃) for about 10-15 minutes, turning once.
